Neighborhood Value

Knowing the value of your home is always important, but much more so when you decide to sell. A good estimate can often be made by looking at the recent sale of homes in nearby areas.

There are free services on the internet (ie. Zillow) that provide recent sale prices, but these values will only give a very rough figure for the value of your home.

Home values take into consideration both the past and present market. Additionally, your neighborhood can easily either augment or diminish the value of your home. If the house next door is exactly like yours its reasonable to expect your value is similar. In contrast, two identical homes on opposite ends of town may differ greatly in value.
