The Cambrige Chronicle recently reported on Jane's Walk here in Cambridge on Saturday, May 2nd. I only wish I had known about it beforehand so that I could have joined in.
Jane's Walk USA honors the memory and spirit of author Jane Jacobs, who wrote The Death and Life of Great American Cities, a seminal text which is a meditation on city living and the urban fabric .
The Cambridge walk took place in North Cambridge and was organized by Glenna Lang (a Stearns Street reisdent) and Marjory Wunsch, authors of the new book for young adults entitled Genius of Common Sense: Jane Jacobs and the Story of Death and Life of Great American Cities.
